Picapau (“woodpecker” in Brazilian) is an award-winning director, born in 1997. In 2019 he wrote and directed "Daimon", the first episode of the main fantasy-horror short film "Tales of a Falling Man". His short film won multiple awards and attention, nationally and - above all - internationally, especially in the US, where it won several awards such as Best Picture, Best International Short, Best Fantasy Short, and Best Special Make-Up. In 2020 he moved to Milan to test and transfer his cinematic vision and skills by working in the fashion and advertising Industries for clients such as Paco Rabanne, MaxMara, BVLGARI, Philipp Plein, and VOGUE. In 2022 he directed the fashion film "The Euforia Waltz" starring Zendaya in collaboration with Vogue and Bvlgari. Picapau is an active member of AIR3 (Italian Directors Guild) and he is currently based between Paris, Prague, and Milan.
