Alessia Petta is an italian director. When she was young, she used to love watching her father filming and spending entire days taking pictures out of passion. Whilst studying Film Semiotics at University in Naples, Alessia got totally attracted by the language of films, that is why she also decided to start a school for Film Direction and Screenwriting. Before presenting her thesis in Film Semiotics, Alessia spent one year in Paris to further specialize and focus on her study. In Paris she also had the chance to study and improve her photography skills, which was always her great passion. Alessia lived first in Rome, then in Milan where she worked as an assistant director with many, both italian and international directors. Meanwhile she always aspired to be behind the camera like a proper director. After seven years of experience she abandoned the Assistant Director role to finally become an official Director. She loves to focus on the stories, to catch people’s humanity and realism. Alessia had the chance to work for brands such as P&G, Nestlè, Napisan, Real Time, Sandoz, Interlora, Clementoni, FAI, Discovery Channel and many more. She also wrote and directed a pilot episode for a TV program, as well as writing, with different teams, a documentary and a film based on a true story.
